CHARLESTON, WV — Today, U.S. Senator Joe Manchin’s campaign announced that it raised $1.5 million dollars in the second quarter of 2018, outpacing the fundraising of Attorney General Patrick Morrisey.
Manchin finished the fundraising period with $6.2 million cash on hand. Manchin’s financial lead has grown to a 6 to 1 cash on hand advantage over Morrisey.
“Joe Manchin has strong grassroots support from across West Virginia because he is working every day to bring both parties together to get things done for the Mountain State,” said Grant Herring, communications director for the Manchin campaign. “As West Virginians start to focus on this race, voters are getting angry that Patrick Morrisey is trying to deny health insurance coverage for people with pre-existing conditions.”
