CHARLESTON, WV — Today, Manchin for West Virginia announced that almost 11,000 donors have pitched in to support Senator Manchin’s re-election so far. Manchin outraised his Republican competitors by more than a 2 to 1 margin, and holds a significant 5-to-1 cash on hand advantage — as of the last report, Manchin had a 4-to-1 cash advantage.
In the first reporting period of 2018, Joe Manchin’s campaign raised over $935,000 and has almost $5.5 million on hand. The momentum for the Manchin campaign continues to build. Just last week, Manchin launched his first TV ad of 2018. Watch it here.
“The numbers don’t lie: Senator Manchin has strong grassroots support from all over West Virginia,” said Grant Herring, communications director for the Manchin campaign. “Joe Manchin is all about West Virginia and putting the state first, and that’s why the business community, organized labor, and working families are all supporting Joe. We are proud to have 11,000 donors and many major endorsements fueling our grassroots campaign.”
